Day Care

Last nite my mom and I also went and visited an in home day care provider.  As much as I really don't want to go back to work it will be necessary :(  But we LOVED the lady that we interviewed.  She works out of her house and has 18 kids that go to her and her staff.  She does a great job of teaching the kids everything they will need to know to go kindergarten and 1st grade!  I know baby will not need that right away but its nice to know we wouldn't need to switch day cares!  She only has 1 open position but since I was referred she said the position is mine for the next 7 days.  So I have to let her know by next Tuesday if we want to go with her.  Although Brandon couldn't be there I would think he would like her too.  My mom was a big help in asking questions I wouldn't even think of!  I'm glad she was able to go with me!  Although it will be a bittersweet time leaving the little one I know he/she will be in great hands! 

26 week Dr's appt.

Wow where does the time go?  How can I be in my 3rd trimester in just a few short days?!  Thats just crazy.  We are in the home stretch now.  My dr's appt yesterday went well.  I had to drink the glucose drink to test for gestational diabetes.  It was lemon limed flavored and it wasn't as terrible as every kept telling me.  It was wonderful either. Since dad has diabetes they said I have a higher risk of getting it!   I should know whether I have it within the next few day.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  The baby's heartbeat was 158 so pretty consistent as every appointment so far! It was so cute because the baby didn't love the doppler being on my stomach and gave it a swift kick!  The baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead.  The dr. said she wasn't at all concerned as it can be normal this far along.  She does want to keep an eye on it to make sure the baby doesn't get too big!  I rubbed my belly and told baby to please not be as big as daddy (daddy weighed 10lbs).  All in all the appointment went great!  I start going every 2 weeks now so my next appointment is May 12.

Pediatrician and baby kicks

Last nite my mom and I went to go meet a Pedi office.  We both loved them.  It feels good to have that part figured out.  The only other big thing to do is find child care!  UGH not looking fwd to that!  I wish we were rich so I could just stay home with the little one!!  Anyway, now I can fill out my hospital paperwork and get that turned in!  EEKK everything is becoming so real!

After the appointment my mom and I went to dinner then back to my house.  I took a shower then laid down.  The baby normally moves after shower time.  So I sat there and had my mom come over and put her hand on my belly!  She finally got to feel Buford move!!!!  Two or three times!  The kicks/punches were so strong that my whole belly moved!  It was awesome that I can finally share that with someone!  Now Brandon needs to get home so he can feel it too! 

Overall last nite was a great nite :)
